Two Perspectives, Let's Talk: Race Identity vs. Racelessness | @#AmericanShade with Brittany King

THIS CONVO was uncomfortable, intense, but insightful. Dr. Sheena Mason & I held a controversial debate on Race. We advocate for racial reconciliation but disagree on many things. Which is why I'm glad this convo happened & why it *should* be public. Sheena believes identifying with racial categories perpetuates racism, & for America to racially reconcile, we need to do away with racial categories forever. She had developed a program called the *Theory of Racelessness* "a place where ppl go to free themselves from race(ism)" Brittany believes racial categories are here to stay, & Americans should challenge implicit bias & strive to judge individuals by their character-- a message she amplifies on *American Shade w/ Brittany King* "race isn't the issue; it's *how* we see each other is the question."
